  • San Francisco State University (SFSU) has been operating as a state university since 1972 but was originally established in 1899 as a state-run school. It is among the 23 universities in the California State University system. There are 6 academic colleges and 4 campuses located in Romberg Tiburon Center, Downtown Campus, Sierra Nevada Field Campus, and the main campus at Holloway Ave. The university offers 94 master’s degrees, 118 bachelor’s degrees, 26 teaching credentials, and 5 doctoral degrees. Why De Paul University ?

  • DePaul University was established by the Congregation of the Mission members, known as Vincentians, on 30th June 1898, as St. Vincent’s College on the insistence of Archbishop Feehan. The classes started in the building of the St. Vincent’s Church on 5th September of the same year. Initially, the college had only seven faculty members, no president, and around 70 students.

  • On 2nd January 1899, Rev. Peter V. Byrne, C.M. was appointed as the first president. St. Vincent’s College became DePaul University on 24th December 1907. The name came from St. Vincent de Paul, the founder of the Congregation of the Mission.   • Founded in 1961, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is a public institution for higher education and research in Florida.
